Andrea’s Story

Be part of the solution and not the problem!

Hi my name is Andrea Mills.  My husband Steve and I are successful dairy farmers who are currently share milking in Auckland. Steve and I have been share-milking for eighteen years.  Five years ago we became farm owners, purchasing a 90ha dairy farm.

Through farming I became interested in health and wellbeing.  This led me on a path of self-discovery and gave me a drive to find solutions to how I was feeling. At that time, I had little understanding of self-worth and how this impacted on how I was expressing life in general.  I became interested in why I behaved or reacted in a certain way. , My desire was to find a better way of coping with business demands and setting a better example for my kids and husband. I had a belief and attitude that life was hard and an uphill battle that I blamed others for. With time I changed my thought patterns, reacting to situations differently and becoming a more fulfilled, happier person. I am no longer highly stressed or anxious.  This has resulted in a more positive family atmosphere.  I look at life through fresh eyes, am solution focused and continue to create my own reality through change and personal growth.

I inspire other people to look at the way they react to situations and encourage others to be brave and look at how they can also change for the better.

Reprograming modalities

I specialise in belief and emotional reprograming. A non-invasive interactive process of changing negative belief and behaviours that are limiting potential and keeping you from achieving your goals.

As a life coach I have a special interest in helping dairy farmers reach their potential through either personal or business growth.  I recognise and understand the value of good relationships with staff and family and the numerous emotional challenges that face dairy farmers in today’s environment.

My goal is to inspire and help farmers gain a better understanding of themselves and others. Life coaching focuses on helping people find solutions for themselves in order to gain better out-comes to problems faced. In coaching we trust the client has the answers within themselves.   The one-on-one coaching process explores questions that enable clients to realise their own strengths and wisdom.
